Where do you see yoga in 10 years?

Yoga is changing FAST. More virtual classes, more accessibility, more diversity… but also more commercialization. What’s your hope for the future of yoga? More inclusivity? More regulation? More community-based yoga? Share your vision!

Wonderful question to put to the group. My ten-year hope is boring on purpose: that yoga becomes normal infrastructure in places it currently isn’t — clinics, schools, workplaces — without losing the soul of it along the way. The risk you named, commercialization, is real; the antidote isn’t to avoid growth but to grow on terms that keep teachers central and claims honest. If we get that balance right, accessibility and integrity don’t have to trade off.

From the workplace seat, here’s what I see coming: employers are slowly realizing that ‘wellness perks’ that nobody uses are worth nothing, and they’re starting to ask for things that actually move stress and retention. That’s an opening for serious teachers — if we can speak their language without watering down the practice. My ten-year bet: more yoga reaching people through their workplace, which means more steady, fairly-paid work for teachers who learn to meet HR where they are.
